My name is Richard and I have been DJ'ing since the age of 15, building over 30 years of experience. I was born in the 70's, went to school in the 80's and did the majority of my going out in the 90's which personally, I think was a fantastic era for music. That said, I feel that I can relate to all types of music and can cater for all musical tastes.

I first learned my mixing skills on a pair of Technics 1210’s when digital had yet to explode on the scene. DJ'ing started off as a hobby, which I have now turned into a great business. The most valuable asset I have mastered from my time as a DJ is knowing what song to play next and keeping a dance floor full which is a very satisfying feeling.

Every time I play music, I aspire to get to the point when the floor is electric and I can stand there amidst peoples elation and think "I did that". Whatever your needs I have a massive array of music to suit all ages, and tastes. The latest chart hits, to the sounds of the past decades. Whatever you want, I can play.

When you book my services, it will be using full audio and lighting equipment! It's not just a guy turning up with pre-programmed music on a laptop. I pride myself that the music mixing is played to work the crowd at the right time. The visual look of the disco is as important as the music we play - looking professional, with a state of the art lighting and audio output catering to all size of venue.

D is for Disco is a sole trader, so you'll be booking me, and that's who will host your disco - I do not hire out to other DJ's, so no unexpected surprises on the day of your event.
